Nicole S. Daniel, founder and CEO of The Modern Standard, has been recognized with an Honorable Mention by Alabama Media Professionals for her feature story, “How Adding Horns To a Song Led Classified Alias to Becoming a Stellar and Dove Award-Winning Producer.”
The recognition was awarded in the Writing – Specialty Articles: Arts & Entertainment category, highlighting Nicole’s continued excellence in storytelling and her commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices in the music and entertainment space.
The award was presented during the Alabama Media Professionals Awards Ceremony held in April, celebrating excellence in journalism and communications across the state.
“I’m honored to be acknowledged alongside so many talented writers and communicators,” Nicole shared.
“Telling stories that celebrate the creative journey, especially from voices that don’t always get the spotlight is at the heart of what we do at The Modern Standard.”
The honored piece dives into the musical journey of Classified Alias, exploring how a single creative decision, adding horns to a song helped him ascend to the ranks of Stellar and Dove Award-winning producers. It’s a testament to both artistic risk-taking and the importance of cultural storytelling.
This recognition marks another meaningful milestone for Nicole and The Modern Standard as they continue to shape conversations around culture, creativity, and community.
