There’s something magnetic about a person who knows they’re walking in purpose even when the path wasn’t always clear. LaDarrius Hutcherson, a Birmingham native and social media influencer whose voice has steadily resonated across digital spaces, is entering a new chapter that feels both full-circle and divinely timed. On February 22, Hutcherson will release his debut book, Bloom, Where You’re Planted, a project that goes far beyond the influencer-to-author pipeline and lands squarely in the realm of testimony, transformation, and truth.

At first glance, Hutcherson represents what many millennials admire: visibility, success, and momentum in a growing creative industry. But Bloom reveals something deeper—a story rooted in faith, resilience, and the often-unseen seasons that shape who we become. This isn’t just a book release. It’s an invitation for readers to look honestly at their own journeys and ask: Am I blooming where I’m planted?

From Influencer to Author, Right on Time

While many may see Bloom Where You’re Planted as a pivot, Hutcherson sees it as fulfillment. Authorship was always part of the plan.

“I started my doctoral program back in 2021, and during that process I developed a strong desire to become a published author after completing my dissertation. I never would’ve imagined it happening this way or this soon, but here we are,” Hutcherson said.

What makes Bloom Where You’re Planted special is its intention. Hutcherson describes the book as “a love letter to God, to my younger self, to Birmingham and to everyone who helped shape me.”

It’s not a traditional memoir, it’s a testimony. One rooted in lived experience, spiritual grounding, and the belief that your story matters, no matter where you start.

What It Really Means to Bloom

The title alone feels like a mirror. Hutcherson, blooming isn’t about perfection or public applause, it’s about obedience and growth, even when it hurts.

“To me, blooming means walking fully in your purpose and embracing it even when it’s uncomfortable. Growth comes with adversity, but just like a seed, you can still grow in hard soil,” Hutcherson said.

That message hits especially close for millennials navigating delayed timelines, career pivots, faith questions, and constant comparison. Bloom reframes the process, reminding readers that struggle doesn’t disqualify you, it prepares you.

A Love Letter to the Process

At its core, Bloom Where You’re Planted speaks directly to a generation in transition. Hutcherson hopes readers see themselves in the pages because its not a polished success story, but a layered one.

“I hope they understand that what they’re seeing now is not an overnight success story…it’s a journey with layers, lessons and a lot of unknowns.”

For millennials who feel behind, uncertain, or stuck between who they were and who they’re becoming, Bloom offers reassurance: you’re not late, you’re evolving.

Writing Through the Heavy

The creative process behind Bloom Where You’re Planted was anything but light. Writing required Hutcherson to revisit moments he hadn’t publicly shared—and sit with them fully.

“There were nights I was writing at 2AM and had to stop because reliving your truth hits you in the chest sometimes, but vulnerability was intentional…because the testimony can’t help anybody if you water it down,” Hutcherson said.

That honesty is what gives the book its power. In an era of curated content and highlight reels, Bloom chooses depth over performance.

Beyond the Highlight Reel

Social media may introduce us to LHUT, but Bloom Where You’re Planted tells the whole story.

“Social media grabs the short clips and creates its own narrative, but this book tells the full story in a beautiful, honest way.”

For creators especially, Bloom Where You’re Planted challenges the idea that visibility equals wholeness. It pulls back the curtain on pressure, unseen seasons, and the faith required to keep going when the internet isn’t watching.

A Book for Creators and Everyone Else

While Bloom Where You’re Planted is deeply personal, its themes are universal. Hutcherson believes millennials—creators or not—will feel seen.

“Millennials have faced adversity in one way or another… I wanted to show triumph in a relatable way, not a perfect, polished story, but a real one.”

His journey as a content creator shaped the voice of the book, blending honesty, humor, and humanity. It’s storytelling that feels like a conversation, not a lecture.

For Those Sitting on a Dream

For influencers or creatives considering a leap beyond social media, Hutcherson keeps the advice simple:

“Do it. A book is always going to be a one-of-one…Don’t wait for permission or the ‘perfect moment.’ If it’s in you, it’s supposed to come out.”

That same energy defines Bloom, a reminder that purpose doesn’t require approval, just obedience.

What’s Next and How to Celebrate

As Hutcherson prepares for release day, Bloom Where You’re Planted is just the beginning. Alongside the book launch, he’ll host an Eat & Greet and book signing on February 22, creating space for community, conversation, and celebration.

“2026 is full of opportunities. I’m just grateful and excited to walk into all of them.”

And if Bloom teaches us anything, it’s that growth is already happening, even before the applause.
